The presence of Pastor Osaze Ize Iyamu paired with Gani Audu almost dwarfed whatever reputation Gani Audu would have. This is because the Benin based Pastor has remained in the city, assuming grassroots fame and a regular face in politics. His only known occupation apart from being a lawyer is Personal Assistant to Lucky Igbinedion and, his Chief of Staff and Secretary to the State Government. He promoted the Grace group that initially fought Anenih using the slogan “no man is god”.
His ability to move large crowd is not in doubt but he has the opposite in Gani Audu who has been more of a recluse. The paradox is that both of them seek common grounds in a party that is currently in turmoil. Whereas Ize Iyamu is bold, determined and fearless, his deputy is strangely cool and quiet. That could balance up in times of trouble as Gani is not known to be troublesome. Though, Ize Iyamu is famously known as a pastor, that area is yet convincing as he is more at home with politicking.
Their greatest strength however would have been comrade Adams Oshiomole who muscled them into limelight but since being dethroned as the national chairman of the APC, it remains to be seen whether they came overcome the big dent. Though people are boosting that they have the advantage of Federal Might, it is not known how that will play out. Besides the open show of support by President Buhari and governor Bello will certainly bolster their morale
