ON LINE PREACHING MINISTRIES: Say no to false Prophets! Pastors!!

Date:

What do you make out of false prophets and pastors? This is the disturbing trend confronting mankind today. Worshippers throng churches looking for salvation but a lot turn out being exploited. They end up paying 5,000 or more to see some of these men of God which inevitably end up multiplying their problems.

Some are made to go through ordeals such as receiving “miracles”, “financial breakthroughs’” and or some fathom “promotions” somewhere. These are not the best of times. The direct result is often depression-and disappointment.

If in a crowd of a thousand or more two or three people receive miracles, it is automatically recorded, videoed and broadcast to the world; no thought is given to the multitude who remain trapped in their woes hopefully waiting. This is what the Bible described as “iron furnace”.

People make huge pledges, drop good offerings, pay their tithes and also do “sacrificial offering” not to mention “first fruits”. Some even pay for “deliverance” trips to the villages, “family” compound where some portions of “juju”, “charms” are supposed to have been buried.

Where do we go from here? What do you expect a man who is under the throes of poverty, unexplained human crisis, or a lady who at 48 is neither married or have children not to mention husband? The ensuing result is fear. Such people wouldn’t listen to any sermon not geared towards uplifting their faith.

They expect miracles, deliverance; and unfortunately, that’s where the trouble begins. Because in their sad situation is the weapon for fake men of God to exploit and capitalize on. That’s how duping starts. But the good news is that they will not last long.

Refer to the book of Acts of the Apostle Chapter 5 verses 36 – 37.  A Pharisee named Gamaliel , a famed doctor of law in those days stood up to recall the exploits of one Theudaias (fake prophet) who rose up with many followers and boasted himself a man of God;  Gamaliel noted that he was slain; so also was one Judas of Galilee(fake man of God)  who also drew much crowd; himself perished.  Today, you have so many so-called ‘’ crack’’ prophets raiding peoples mind via radio, crusades and phantom programmes.

The year 2010 – 2019 has been replete with sad events as many believers were left cold.  They had pinned their hopes, shown avid interest in ‘’God’s ‘’ work only to be left penniless – and bewildered.

That’s why those who manage to break out are like Psalm 126 puts it: ‘’like a dream ‘’ and what follows next is ‘’laughter’’.  Believers, learn more to pray on your own; discipline yourself by having a programme of fasting always; you will also do yourself a whole lot of good when you learn to give and of course read the
