Court Adjourns Ambode’s Suit to Jan. 16

Date:

The immediate past governor of Lagos State Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode whose profile has been on the rise would have to wait until January 16, 2020 to see out his case with the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The former governor is challenging the Assembly’s obvious political push to implicate him in the purchase of 825 transport buses, a case that political observers believe is just mere witch-hunt.

However, since the law courts have put a temporal truce before the January date, it is expected all the parties will realign and bury their differences. The reason is because 2023 is around the corner and if it is true that the national leader of APC is angling for presidency, then all hands ought to be on deck to facilitate that ambition.
