Babajide Sanwo-Olu Consolidates As Smart New Lagos Takes Shape

Date:

The Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu has continued to receive commendations across board as his pet dream of turning Lagos into a smart new city takes shape even as he continues to fulfill his commitment to deliver on all critical projects inherited from past administration. The latest encomiums has come from the Abuja branch of the University of Lagos Alumni,  Mr Alex Oboh, who heaped praises on him for “ delivering on his campaign promise.”

Mr Alex commended the governor for adopting this strategy pointing out that this was a panacea to his successful tenure in office urging him to do more. “Government is a continuum; we have heard people say, projects executed by previous administration should be abandoned; that’s not correct; they are Nigerians  who did it and they worked for government; its only personalities that changed—not the Institution”, he stressed.

Hailing the governor as “Great Akokite”, the Alumni boss stated that they were not surprised because Sanwo-Olu was a tested professional who has held several high profile offices from being special adviser, acting commissioner for economic planning and budget, commissioner for commerce and industry, managing director of the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation (LSDPC) and now governor of the State. “This is experience you can’t buy in the market; you earn it—and display it”, said Alex.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu has been forging ahead remarkably with his “Smarter and Greater Lagos plan” and he has devoted energy and time to turn dream to reality. His 100 days in office singled him out as a governor with the heart and patience to build on the legacy of his predecessor in office.
