100 Days In Office: Sanwo-Olu Greater Lagos On Target, To Be Fast Tracked.

After stepping in as the 15th Governor of the coastal enclave that is Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has hit the ground running -as he promised. Now after 100 days in office, our reporters can confirm that the government has set aside N4bn as grants to Lagosians with “ingenious business ideas”; of the 600 people shortlisted to benefit from the initiative, 50% are expected to be women.

N2million has also been set aside for 1,700 people who will benefit from a World Bank assisted agricultural programme. Also a 492 flat housing project named after Lateef Jakande, first civilian governor of the State has been completed and commissioned; an additional 1,250 homes in different parts of the State is to be delivered in 6 months.

On Education, the Sanwo-Olu government has begun the hiring of trained teachers to strengthen quality education in its schools; the Eti-Osa Maternal and Child Centre; the eight of its kind in the State has also been commissioned to improve secondary Health Care facilities in the State as well as reduce the stress expectant women go through while trying to reach mainland.

 The disappearance of heaps of garbage on major streets is also credited to the Sanwo-Olu’s government. Corporate organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGO) and religious institutions are to be received with open arms in partnership that would be beneficial to the State.
